Canonical URL Check
Find missing, conflicting or cross-domain canonical signals.
01
What does this tool check?
We read every rel=canonical on the page and compare it against the final URL after redirects: is it self-referencing, relative, pointing at another domain, or are there several disagreeing tags?
02
How should I read the result?
A canonical pointing elsewhere tells crawlers "index that page instead of me" — sometimes intended (syndication), often an accident from a template. Multiple conflicting canonicals are always a bug.
03
What should I do next?
Each indexable page should carry exactly one absolute, self-referencing canonical.
